History of UCF Collective Bargaining
The very first
Collective Bargaining Agreement between the University of
Central Florida (UCF) Board of Trustees (BOT) and the United Faculty of
Florida (UFF) was ratified by the faculty and professional employees
bargaining unit (404 votes for and 4 votes against) on March 24, 2005, and
ratified unanimously by the UCF Board of Trustees on March 31, 2005. The
majority of that contract remained in effect through August 31, 2007. Article 23, Salaries,
is renegotiated each year.
Additional articles may be opened and renegotiated each year by mutual
agreement between the UCF BOT and UFF bargaining teams.
In September 2006, the BOT and UFF came to an agreement on Articles 10 and
23 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement, which was subsequently ratified
by the BOT on October 12, 2006. Effective November 1, 2006, the BOT and the UFF resumed bargaining
for the 2007-2010 Collective Bargaining agreement.
